Since graduating with a BA in Writing from Winona State University, Sally Collins’ regularly contributes to Peninsula Pulse and Door County Living (first as Sally Slattery). Her debut novel, Muddled Cherries, released August of 2024 from Ten 16 Press, was honored by the Wisconsin Library Association Literary with an Outstanding Achievement Award in 2025.

Collins’ also the author of two children’s books: Door County Animals and Sloane the Gnome Bakes a Cherry Pie. She lives in Door County with her family.
